Honeysuckle Cakes focuses on the use of fresh, seasonal and local produce. Hannah only uses fruit which is in season and sources as many ingredients as possible from local businesses and producers. We believe that Norfolk has a fabulous range of fresh fruit and veg and we like to make full use of it throughout the year! Hannah never uses artificial stabilisers or preservatives and will always bake sponge cakes the day before they are required to guarantee that they are fresh for your big day. Fruit cakes are baked at least 3 weeks before the date and given a regular feeding of brandy to make them rich, boozy and delicious.
Hannah is a qualified pastry chef and trained at Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's in London before moving to Norwich. Each cake that Hannah creates is unique and based on the client's ideas, wishes and requests. Bespoke celebration and wedding cakes are a speciality and Hannah delights in creating cakes which are quirky, unique and a little bit different from the ordinary. Your wedding day should be personal and special to you so we like your wedding cake to reflect that, maybe by depicting your favourite sport, holiday destination or even just your favourite colours and patterns.
Hannah likes to have an initial consultation with clients to chat through ideas, and will provide you with sketches of the design and samples of cake so you can make sure your wedding cake will taste great as well as look beautiful. Adjustments can be made and Hannah welcomes all feedback regarding the design - this is your cake and we want you to have as much input as possible.
